Checking In

I babysat again today.  Does that count as a workout?  My tired body says, "Yes!"

My period started today.  This is good news because it means that the .5 lb gain on the scale is possibly an actual loss because I usually gain more than half a pound right before my period starts.

I did my 5 minutes of morning yoga and drank my breakfast smoothie.  I did those things around noon, but whatever.  Yay!

I have dinner in the oven, and my husband will be home soon.

I think I'll sleep well tonight.

    1. Not so much, but I made up for it by sleeping extra late.

  2. Yep, I definitely think babysitting counts as exercise :) Though I also feel I need to workout to be strong and fit enough to cope with my son. PotAAtoes, potAHtoes ;)

    1. Well, for you working out is enjoyable. It's probably one of those things that keeps you sane as a mom. For me it's an extra chore on top of an already busy day. BUT I'm working on seeing exercise differently. It'll take me some time to get there, though.

    2. Yes, exercise helps me blow off steam, and helps me feel better about myself. Even at my heaviest, I've known that I was strong, fit and flexible, and that counts for something :) Like you say, it's also about the mood benefits and the knowing you're doing something good for yourself, not just about the weight...
