This lady is such an inspiration to me. She is 76, and began her journey to becoming a bodybuilder at the age of 71. It just proves that it really is never too late to get fit, and that being 45 is no obstacle for me.
I've read so many versions of the Ernestine Sheperd story, and even that she's passed away. I wonder what the definitive story is. She is an inspiration, whatever the details.
I found an article written just a couple of weeks ago including and interview with her: http://healthland.time.com/2013/05/30/qa-worlds-oldest-performing-female-bodybuilder/
Okay so she sleeps four hours a night and consumes like 16 egg whites a day. Odd, but if it works for her, go Ernestine! :D She has been lifting weights for 20 years. That is awesome.
Reminds me of a time I went to an ashram, and one of the women there who practised yoga every day asked me how old I thought she was. I honestly said 50, turns out she was 75! Exercise may not be the only part of the equation, but it's certainly a good start :)
And encouraging that you don't have to go the "sleep only 4 hours and eat 16 egg whites" route - so maybe you don't have to settle for too much less :D

Deletelol! Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. If that's what it takes to look that good at 77, I'm probably gonna have to settle for less. ;-)
