Really? A Test So Soon?

Today I've done something to my back. I've thrown it out somehow, which is hilarious because I was just sitting on the couch when suddenly I was in big pain and found I could barely walk when I got up. That's how funny getting old is.  Not.

It has spoiled my plans for the weekend, and it has shown me how fragile my fresh new outlook is. I have to learn that shit's gonna happen, and I can't just give up when it does.

Right now, though? I'm in pain, and I kinda want to give up a little. I'll be okay, just feeling sorry for myself. And that's okay too. I hurt, and I am sorry for myself. So there. I'm really glad I still have ten days before that yoga class.

  1. Sorry to hear that, Siddaleah! Back pain is awful. Hope you get something to help you manage it. And remember, keeping moving gently will help in the long run. Not that you should be practising yoga through the pain, but that once you can manage it, getting back to a short walk will help :)

  2. I hope you are able to see a chiropractor or osteopath? Even one or two adjustments can make a huge difference sometimes! One time I had house guests (one of my little sisters and a friend of hers) and my hips suddenly seized up and went out--I couldn't move or even really get out of bed for a day or so. Then it got slightly better, but I had to get some adjustments at the chiropractor. It helped a lot, and is far more affordable than a lot of things. Sending swift healing!
